It is a defining decision to commit to a lifestyle for fitness and health. There will be barriers and tens of reasons for not getting started. Barriers can include boredom, lack of incentive, self consciousness, poor health or thoughts that ‘I just can’t do it,’ and misconceptions about what it will be like. If you want to change the way you look and feel, make the change and find the personal trainer that is right for you. Take action and get into a fitness program adapted for you. It may take 6 months or a year.
When you are ready, we will take you there.
Have the commitment and the willingness to change.
Short Term Goals:
Together we identify weekly short term goals, such as walk for 30 minutes on the treadmill by the end of the first week, or bench press 100 pounds.
We record all exercise activities and chart the progress of your transformation. We monitor weight and % body fat and chart your results.
Together we set self rewards for meeting short term goals. Each week we will identify what we want to achieve and reward that achievement.
We instill behavior modifications. We give you a new way of thinking to help substitute bad habits for good habits. Instead of sitting in front of the TV with a bag of chips, take a 20 minute walk, or do 15 pushups.
We identify environment changes that are conducive to your fitness transformation. You might need to skip the bar and the extra beers, or break the video game habit.
We help you recognize those triggers that lead to unhealthy behavior and give you the motivation to change.
A support system will help you stick with your program. It can be a spouse or friend or buddy, someone to recognize your journey and cheer you on the way.
Have a plan for the setbacks. If (and when) you fall off of your healthy track or lose your desire to change, we will have a plan to get back on track. Being prepared for the inevitable slips to old behavior will help us to recognize and avoid trap.
